Justice has been delivered by the fast track court’s verdict in December16 - Nirbhaya case in which the 4 convicts have been awarded death sentences for committing the gory crime.

Today's verdict should hopefully instill the fear of law among perpetrators of crimes against women. However, the moot question is that why do people have to come on roads and hold protests and demonstrations to get justice. From Jessica Lal's to Nirbhaya's case, the outpouring of public anger ultimately led to speedy investigations and disposal of such cases. What about those thousands of other cases that failed to receive public attention and where the justice has still not been delivered.
